Tan Huynh joined EMR in 2012 and has played a key role in the appraisal and execution of a number of the Fund’s investments. At EMR, Tan is responsible for assisting the Investment Directors in managing all aspects of the investment process including deal screening and evaluation, transaction execution and investees’ performance monitoring. Prior to EMR, Tan spent over seven years in resources investment banking at Nomura Australia and ABN AMRO in the U.K. and Australia.
During his years in investment banking, Tan advised a number of private and public companies, sovereign wealth funds and private equity funds in the resources sector. Tan’s transactional experience includes a number of high profile IPOs, strategic investments, investment exits, mergers and acquisitions across a range of different commodities where Tan developed complex valuation models, and was involved in investment analysis, transaction execution and commodity analysis.
Tan graduated with an MSc in International Securities from the University of Reading and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. Tan has also recently obtained a Graduate Diploma in Mineral Exploration Geoscience from Curtin University.
