Rob is a senior resources and investment banking executive with over 27 years experience in resources investments, mergers and acquisitions and fund raising.

Rob was, until early 2016, Managing Director of Standard Chartered’s Metals and Mining advisory group. Prior to that, he was Vice President at Newmont Group responsible for the Group’s Australian and Asia Pacific corporate and business development. Rob worked with the Newmont Group (formerly Normandy Mining Group) for 13 years in various business development / investment roles.

Rob was a co-founder of Gryphon Partners, a specialist resources corporate advisory firm with offices in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Toronto and Vancouver, which was acquired by the Standard Chartered Group in 2011.

Rob has been advisor to many major resources mergers and acquisitions over the last 27 years including many of Oxiana’s acquisitions, capital raisings and the initial public offering of Tigers Realm Coal. Rob has worked with other members of the EMR Capital team over many years.

Rob qualified with a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance (Financial Services Institute of Australia).
